I love your 1972 Dodge Polara. It brings back many great memories. This was the first car I was issued when I graduated from the 55th North Carolina State Highway Patrol class in Chapel Hill, N. C. The car I was issued was marked, and one of the sharpest marked vehicles we ever had. All of the 70's Chrysler products we used made great looking marked and unmaked patrol vehicles. Thanks for bringing back those memories and I would not trade my 30 year career with the NCSHP for anything. I looked for a 1972 Polara for years but could not find one in any kind of decent shape. I am glad you found this one.
This 1972 Plymouth Fury has had an awful lot going for it ! ! Except the color , mine being black , it is an exact replica of the one that was run as a taxi for the Airport Taxi Company dBa ( downtown Bridgeport area ) Suburban Limousine Service , and she had 1,207,063.5 miles on it when it was sold , demolition derby winner , and rebuilt as a brand new car ! ! Chrysler Corporation , unfortunately , dis-continued the Plymouth name , and killed the Fury model . The Fury model was stronger , and much more dependable than any other car ever built to this day - guaranteed ! ! ! !
