Hi there, I am surprised at your work. If you could provide a hand on - how did you make dust on the stuff on the bed? I have a junkyard and I am building a 1950 chevy medium truck from 100% scratch built exept the cab. I would like to follow your strategy for my stuff as well. Thanks.
Wow! the details are way beyond my imagination. I don't dare - doing this even on a 1/24 scale (my collections are 1/24). Did the machine/engine come from after market or scratch built? Either way you are a Guru - idea and devotion wise. Thanks Dave.
This truck is Wicked-COOL. I would love to see it in a Deep-Candy-Apple- Green. Leaving the head of the truck in Black, with a Black-Shadow-Dragon, going down the middle of the Hood. :-D
Dave, thanks for the pic of my Topo Altered! Thought no one there saw it that day.Good memories of a talented bunch of builders. Was it REALLY that long ago??
Oh my.... This whole thing is amazing, followed the link over from the FSM forums, well done! I really like this whole process and watching the step by step, let me say the drywall grating was excellent
Dave, Great presentation, lots of work to document the steps. A couple of ideas for you. You could use a paint brush to get the plaster into the nooks and crannies. If you vibrate the mix before pouring, the bubbles will rise to the surface of the mix. If you could place the molds on a vibrator, like a sander, the plaster would flow when you touch the mold to the sander. Also, if you could put a vacuum over your mixing bowl to reduce the bubbles too.
