Knauber is correct Clark's Nutcracker (Nucifraga columbiana); Montana locals call them Camp Robbers. They are totally fearless; I've had them land on the tailgate of my pickup, with me sitting there, and DEMAND a share of the peanuts that I was gnawing on. Bold birds. I saw a kid at a campsite eating a sandwich and one of these bad boys just flew down to the table and grabbed a piece right out of his hand.
RMNP......I comuned with the wolves up there. You should have seen it when the dam blew out a few years ago and sent a BIG wall of water down the canyon.
