If the bud is hanging on for dear life then it should be removed. This is for the folks that dont know. Locs consist of hair and hair can be cut therefore locs can be trimmed. Ive seen many people with blunt ended locs from where they trimmed it. coily ends are different from loose buds hanging on by a strand of hair lol I do also prefer coilies. Let me get back on track. Your locs have had a growth spurt in recent times :)

You have a Locfro which means you have more locs than fro lol some folks have frolocs which is the opposite proportion.

I thought Alvin Ailey was some kind of new style of wearing locs lol didnt know it was a classical dance group. ya'll look great :)
